The 22nd Convergence Conference is a James Cook University Singapore mega event, which challenges students to create solutions when presented with industry problems. The event features case studies, research presentations, poster competition, discussions, discourse and more.

The event organising committee will also invite industry practitioners as guest speakers, judges, mentors and JCU academia in a shared platform of exchanges, problem solving, discussions, teamwork and a fun learning environment.

The event is managed by the JCU Singapore 22nd Convergence Conference Organising Committee of students, with an adviser and lecturers as support or mentors to their respective disciplines and team.

Empowering
Empowered- being alone and being connected today has challenges. Today students need a firmer approach to problem-solving and strong autonomy to quickly decide independently or as a team where required.
Enriching
Enriched –the repository of information, exchanges and new knowledge is no longer dependent on a lecturer as source. Students 3 now read, surf, comment, interact and learn at their own pace and become enriched with vital sources needed for their work.
Expanding
Expanding Minds – today learners view problems with a broader mindset in their approaches. This continuing expansion may include the scope, volume, quantity, challenges and solutions
Despite the distance and physical challenges of a traditional classroom learning experience, we remain true to our objectives when working in a multidisicplinary approach to a plethora of topical, relevant and concerning issues from many disciplines.
Official Colour & Representation
YELLOW ORANGE
Yellow Orange While Orange is the colour of competitiveness, it is also a symbol of the rising sun, a new beginning and chapter of our university lives. Partnered with Yellow, which represents brilliance, victory and abundance, we hope both yellow and Orange will bring to life our new direction in this project.
AQUAMARINE BLUE
This colour is inspired by the sea water which abounds the universe. This colour is known to rejuvenate and heal tired mind and spirit of teams. We chose this colour to give us all inspiration yet compassion. This colour inspires organizational skills in a team.
LOGO STORY

This semester the executive committee recognizes its changing role and the power of inspirational words.

In our logo design, we chose several V words. V after all is a positive and energizing letter, close to VICTORY.
